Fabrics Colors

Odina Base Fabrics:

These are the main fabrics that a majority of each suit is made from. They are comprised of 100% recycled nylon and spandex. The recycled nylon is made from post consumer plastics that are broken down into thread. The recycled nylon thread is mixed with spandex, to give the fabric extra strength, longevity, a softer feel and stretch. These two additives give the suit the necessary components to make a long lasting, very functional suit.

We are always striving to create new materials that are stronger, lighter, and more environmentally sound and you will be the first to know when changes are made to our product. Change for the better change for the future!

Odina Accent Fabrics:

These fabrics are the side sashes, the braids, and the strings that style each suit uniquely. These fabrics are reclaimed fabrics, or excess fabric from other swimwear companies in Los Angeles. These fabrics can be left overs from a bolt, a company that goes out of business, or a style that another company just does not care for. We use these pieces to add an extra bit of style to our suits, as well as we are cleaning up a little bit after our fellow swimwear makers. For you the swimwear user, this is perfect because this means we can only offer a select few suits in any given accent pattern. That means the suit you have, is not one the girl who saw you on the volleyball court can go out and get. We do use all of the accent fabrics that we purchase, when it is no longer offered, we no longer have it. All the fabrics that are used are tested for quality and durability. We do not make all of our fabrics, but we do test and make sure they hold up to the highest standards.

All of our tags are made locally in California and they are printed with eco-friendly dies on Organic Cotton. Even tags can have an environmental impact, we strive to make as positive impact as possible.
